As a former employee of Smaato, a global real-time advertising platform for app developers based in Hamburg, Germany, I am proud to have served as a key contributor to the company's success for three years. One of my primary responsibilities was to conceptualize, storyboard, and animate engaging video content as part of the company's efforts to communicate new digital product features to the market.
This was a collaborative project between the Marketing and Digital Product departments, and I am particularly proud of the opportunity to develop my animation skills and storytelling abilities.
I was also responsible for overseeing the design and development of a wide range of visual materials for the company, including reports, booklets, business cards, digital infographics, and booths for live events. Additionally, I played a key role in creating marketing assets that effectively communicated the company's brand identity and values. One of the Smaato's most notable projects was the quarterly report, which aimed to provide valuable insights into mobile monetization strategies and raise brand awareness within the Ad-Tech industry.
My focus during this project was to ensure that the report effectively conveyed Smaato's authentic voice and positioning within the industry. This was a challenging project as it required me to adhere strictly to established brand guidelines while also ensuring that the design was visually compelling and easy to understand. To achieve this, I conceptualized and designed a new template that effectively communicated the granular data provided by the content team through the use of data visualization. Despite the strict brand guidelines, I was able to present a new template that not only met but exceeded the company's expectations.
Form & Function
It's important to remember that while content is king, the way information is organized and presented is equally important to effectively communicate the message to readers.
