Órama

Órama is a financial products distributor that provides a full-service platform for both B2B and B2C clients. The company aims to democratize access to high-quality, profitable investments. In 2016, I was hired as the Lead Designer and tasked with creating their online banking platform from the ground up. My work included designs for both desktop and iOS and Android apps. The goal was to develop a white-label interface that could be easily rebranded and customized for use by the company's distributor partners.

In order to streamline collaboration between design and development, increase production speed, and reduce time-to-market for our digital products, we chose to work with Google's Material Design. However, we made slight modifications to the system to enhance the user experience and usability.

For the B2C platform, we began by designing the desktop interfaces with the goal of ensuring users could easily preview crucial information and access any area of their financial profile with ease.

Challenge

One of the key challenges was to design a graphical user interface (GUI) that could be easily modified in the future for any of Órama's brand partners. To address this, I collaborated with the developers to implement a feature where the partner could simply set their primary color and the rest of the colors used in the interface would adapt seamlessly to it.

The final outcome was a simple solution: partners only needed to upload their logo into a content management system (CMS) and configure their primary color, and the entire digital product would be customized with their branding. This created an easy and straightforward experience for them.

Mobile Application

During the second phase of the project, we designed the mobile apps for Android and iOS. I was responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of the apps and mentored another designer to assist in ideation, creating additional screens, new components, and organizing our design files. Similarly to the desktop interfaces, the apps were also customizable, receiving the setup data from the CMS.
